Don Fulano Blanco Tequila｜ Other Products

Don Fulano's Blanco is the purest look at what five generations of Fonseca family agave farming produces. Made at the family's own La Tequileña distillery (NOM 1146) from 100% estate-grown highland agave — harvested fully mature from the fields around Atotonilco, where Enrique Fonseca remains one of the largest agave landowners in Jalisco — it's naturally fermented with wild and cultivated yeast, distilled roughly 80% on copper pot stills and 20% on column, cut with volcanic well water, and bottled unfiltered with zero additives at 40% ABV. The acclaim is real: Tastings.com scored it 93 points, and VinePair called it a must-buy, placing it "among a handful of blancos that showcase the full extent of the majesty of the style" — concentrated, layered, floral, and tropical. Expect rich cooked agave, vanilla bean, rising bread, sage, and bright citrus on the nose, with an oily, medium body carrying caramelized agave, white pepper, cinnamon, and zesty citrus into a long, clean, mineral finish. Community tasters at Agave Matchmaker call it one of the best blancos for drinking neat, with several noting it drinks fuller than its proof. A benchmark highland blanco from one of tequila's last true family estates — sip it, or build a genuinely serious margarita.
